What do you need to broadcast your event?

• You let us know the time and date of your event and how large your audience will be.
• You need to have a camera where the action is, either stationary or operated by a person.
• Your camera gives the picture and sound over a/v cables to a video encoder, which we help you set up.
• Your video encoder broadcasts your event to our servers and we broadcast it over the internet.
• Your viewers go to your Web page to watch your event.

How does Memon Media help you broadcast your event?

When you call to let us know about your event, we put you on our schedule. We calculate your technical needs (bandwidth, servers and support staff), and make sure they’re ready and waiting for you. We provide you with code to place on your Web page OR we give you a link that you can send out, letting your viewers watch your event from our Web site. On the day of, or before, your event, we let you test your stream. You get to see exactly what your video stream will look like to your viewers. During your event, we log information about all the viewers of your stream. We can either provide you with those logs, logs and a report, or just the information you want to know.

What does it cost?

You’d be surprised how affordable it is.

You provide the camera and a PC acting as an encoder. We can provide you with our video encoder card or firewire interface ($300 per camera), or you can use your own encoder cards. If you have advanced encoding needs, you might pay around $500 for a encoder application, otherwise, for basic encoding, the software is often free. You already have your internet connection; just make sure you have between 250k and 500k in upstream bandwidth available.

Memon Media charges a flat fee based on the number of viewers you anticipate and an hourly rate based on the length of your event. Once your event is over, your logs are delivered to you via email, at no additional cost. If you want a more detailed report or a customized report, we can provide that, as well (at our consulting rates).
